1.Corn Bhel

Corn is available in plenty during monsoons. If you are not eating them off the cob, the next best thing you can do with them is to make a delicious corn bhel. Add chopped onions, tomatoes, boiled sprouts, dash of lemon and a sprinkle of fresh coriander leaves for a healthy monsoon snack and serve with spicy mint coriander and green chilli chutney. To make a variation of your healthy snacks use sprouts/ rajma instead of corn.

2. Rava Vegetable Appam

Crisp and nutritious Appam made using drops of oil will sure make you forget your pakodas this rainy season. Using very few ingredients like rava, mixed veggies, curd and spices of your choice can trun your snacking into super healthy yet filling one.

3. Mini Tempered Idlies

A spicy twist to delicious steaming hot idlis, these mini tempered ones are a welcome change from the normal greasy food we crave during the rains. No need for sambhar or chutney with this one either. A great way to use leftover idlis – this recipe takes care of health, taste and convenience in one go!

4. Paneer vegetable Tikki

Paneer tikkis are not restricted by season – mix cup of home made paneer in finely chopper veggies (can add soy granules for binding) followed by adding Indian spices. Grill tikkis on non stick tava using drops of oil. Serve with dash of green chutney.

 

5. Broccoli soup

Broccoli is full of nutrients and also good for providing immunity. Simply make a pure of blanched broccoli and temper it with butter, garlic, and parsley. Milk can also be added to this soup so make is nutrient dense and satisfying.
