Eat Alot This Diwali Without The Fear of Gaining Weight (Secret Tips)

I have heard from secret source that you have been excited about Diwali from month before

Am I write? Of course I am  :)

Diwali is the most awaited festival of the year, and don’t even think that Ill be giving you a diet plan to help you lose or even stop you from your evil plan of eating whole festival nonstop.

In fact this is my suggestion to you that EAT A LOT THIS DIWALI!!

Yes believe me when I say this. Eating is the only solution to give a treat to yourself this Diwali. Eating is the only solution to escape yourself from all the comments like “arre ajj to dieting chor de”, “ek pieces meethai se kuch nhi hota”, “ itni patli hogayi, ab gayab hone ka irada hai?”

So what should I eat this festive season of Diwali?

I am sharing my secret tips for you all to enjoy this festive season guilt free! Eat Eat and Eat without the fear of gaining weight.

Secret tip No. 1: Do heavy breakfast, heavier than you can think of!

You can have any breakfast option of your choice it can be stumbled egg with breads/ upma/ poha/ idli sambar/daliya upma etc along with have one fruit and a cup of milk. Too much of eating as promised right? Don’t forget to drink two glasses of water as soon as you wake up.

What’s the benefits of doing this?

  1. You will be most energetic person in whole crowd throughout the day.
  2. It will save you from eating too much at lunch time.
  3. It will boost your metabolism to process calories at faster rate throughout the day. Good enough reasons right?

Secret tip No. 2: Eat slowly by chewing food properly!

Yes this is the rule no. 2- Chew every morsel you eat at least 8-30 times depending upon how dense your food is. Simple way to make sure you chew your food properly is keeping your spoon/ fork down after every bite.

What’s the benefit of doing this?

  1. Chewing food properly release the digestive enzymes in your saliva, thus better digestion
  2. It lessen the pressure on esophagus by breaking large particle into smaller one thereby easing the process of metabolizing food particles.
  3. Digestion is one of the most energy consuming process of your body, therefore you burn more calories if you let your digestion process perform its task properly.
  4. Lastly, you will be able to pretend that you are eating more than others despite of being diet conscious ?

Secret tip No. 3: Make fruits and vegetables your friend

Fruits are the best snacking option and easily available too. It provides us with lots of essential vitamins and minerals without adding too many calories to our stomach.

I heard my clients reminding me “You didn’t include my veg juice (celery+ mint+ carrot + bottle gourd) in this plan”. Upon asking why you want to have it religiously? They end up saying “Its keeps us refreshing and destress our mind” Isn’t a good enough reason?

Secret tip No. 4: Include proteins in every meal

Protein rich foods include, chicken/fish/paneer/milk and milk products/ pulses/ nuts etc. Make sure you add any among them in every meal/ snack. Mostly its available option everywhere weather you are invited to party or served over buffet. Its just a matter of consciousness and willingness to make your meals balanced.

What’s the benefit of doing this?

  1. Protein rich foods are known to increase your metabolism.
  2. It provides you satiety feeling so that you feel full until its time for next meal.
  3. Its stops you from gorging unwanted food at odd times

Secret tip No. 5: Don’t forget to drink plenty of water

Yes Buttermilk/ coconut water/ lemon tea/ iced tea/ green tea/ lemonade includes too when keeping track of water consumption. Just garb any of the above drinks along with 8- 10 glasses of water to make sure you keep yourself hydrated.

What’s the benefits of doing this?

  1. Drinking sufficient water is the best way to keep yourself stress free.
  2. It aids in digestion process
  3. It keeps your skin radiating and ensure proper functioning of brain.

 

You all must be wondering its Diwali festival and I am not talking about sweets!!

Yes you are allowed to eat sweets too!!

You can choose from range of sweet like rabdi, doodhi/ gajar halwa/ rasmalai/ rasgulla/ caramal pudding/ fruit custard/ fruit truffle etc. Glad to get so many options right?

When to relish sweets?

It’s always advisable to have sweets at least one hour prior/ after your major meals. There is no harm in having sweets if you keep your serving size to “Standard” ?

Lets not talk about foods which needs to be avoided as I believe if you are committed to do right thing there are no scope of you even thinking about doing wrong J
